My first blog =)

Hello there and welcome to my blog =) I'm a first time blogger so I'm sorry if its a bit of a waffle or nothing much at all but here goes... I've just started my photography degree at Salford university and am really looking forward to getting stuck in and developing my skills as a photographer and finding out more about working within the industry.

So far everyone seems cool on my course which is always a good thing! The tutors seem ready, willing and able to get stuck in and get the best from us all as a group and on an individual level.

I'd say I'm probably at the bottom of the pile when it comes to knowing about photography as a whole, I've never studied it before where everyone else seems to have learnt some aspect of it but hey ho, I've been given the chance to add to what I've taught myself and I'm going to take every opportunity to cram every little nugget of information into my brain!

I'm now the proud owner of a shiney, new Nikon D3100 and am awaiting the arrival of my shiney, new 50mm lens =) Can't wait to get out with that and snap away!

Anyway I think I shall leave it there! Jeeez and I was worried I wouldn't write much! Ha,
